 DEPARTMENT:        Global Services

 REPORTS TO:         Manager, Logistics Services

 PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:

 The Service Coordinator directs all hardware Field Service Technicians in an assigned geographic area.  Ensures technical support, field and installation services are provided to assigned customers with contracted agreements.  Provides business leadership to manage resources, implement strategic initiatives, achieve service delivery metrics, revenue and profit targets while achieving the highest customer and employee satisfaction levels.  Committed to the mission and principles of ISR and the Global Services organization Creativity and an entrepreneurial spirit are essential.

 SUMMARY OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

·           Establish / Implement Service Process for Technical Assistance Center (TAC), Installation support, Return Material Authorization, Depot Repair, and Field Service that supports Global Services objectives.

·           Monitors Technical Assistance Center key performance indicators and develops processes to increase the effectiveness of the organization.

·           Primary interface with VARs, OEMs and potential 3rd Party Vendors for Service Issues

·           Establish/Implement Spares and Service Parts planning and management

·           Provides monthly performance reports for all appropriate jurisdictions, detailing performance against contract, and performance against target and costs.

·           Works with commercial teams to implement operations strategies associated with new contracts in new regions or new products. Ensures these new operations are compliant with Global Services processes.

·           Acts as the primary point of contact for the Technical Assistance Center on every RFP opportunity.

·           Implements metrics for measuring Customer Satisfaction and Loyalty.

·           Develops and implements applicable training offerings to Customers and VARs

·           Responsible to provide facts to engineering, quality, and manufacturing to improve the life cycle cost of maintaining ISR equipment in the field.

·           Acts as an in-house service technician when the need arises.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Knowledge

·         Proven record of coordinating a Technical Assistance Center

·         Experience in service call center dispatch and management of service cases, call dispatch services, and parts support

·         Understand how field service teams operate

·         Importance of metrics development and how to manage to them

Skills/Abilities

·         Strong focus on high quality customer service delivery.

·         Able to travel on short notice.

·         Must demonstrate strong interpersonal, adaptability, commitment and social skills.

Data & Routing Center Planner (DRCP)
The DRCP is responsible for the 7 x 24 operation of data center facilities infrastructure systems required to support our complex computing environment.  This individual will develop usage plans, monitor and administer the loads placed on the data centers electrical uninterruptible power systems (UPS) and the distribution of the electrical power, and emergency electrical generator system capacity. Along with the computer room air conditioning (CRAC) systems and the distribution of conditioned air. Develop activity and usage procedures, monitor and administer computer room clean agent fire alarm/ suppression system and the environmental control computer and software that  monitor and control the data centers’ infrastructure. NRCP needs to demonstrate proficiency in limited-energy cable management systems and works with both internal and external customers to establish a strong cable management practices with the purpose of maintaining the connectivity, integrity, and reliability of a high speed data transport system.

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration, or related field, or equivalent year for year experience.
Minimum of 5 years experience in data center facilities infrastructure management.
Three years experience performing progressively more complex and responsible task crossing all phases of data center design, implementation and operation.
Demonstrates proficient knowledge of and working experience supporting large scale computing environments.
Demonstrates excellent written/oral communication shills, user liaison skills and personal interaction abilities.
Demonstrates ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Network Specialist
The Network Specialist is responsible for complex installation and maintenance activities relating to all telecommunications network services for UW voice, data, and video; and data installation and maintenance for UW Medicine's Locations. This position will provide support for infrastructure design and coordination of facilities issues with UW departments, UW Medicine locations, non-UW contractors, and other organizations.

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience, in telecommunications, computer science, or engineering or related field and one year of relevant experience.

Additional Requirements:
Two to four years experience as a lead in the field of voice, data, and video telecommunications. Working knowledge of current industry standards and all applicable city, state, and federal electrical codes.
Working knowledge of Ethernet link layer protocols, standards, and practices for both LAN wiring and campus plants; experience troubleshooting Ethernet and TCP/IP problems.
Familiarity with basic digital telephony concepts; experience troubleshooting digital switching and/or digital transport problems.
Experience working with telecommunications service providers to troubleshoot digital transport and switching services, and with clients and support staff to resolve network related problems.
Working knowledge of UNIX, DOS, and Macintosh operating systems.
Experience with software applications for project management, database management, and spreadsheets.

Professional designation of RCDD.

Lead Network Engineer
The Lead Network Engineer assists the NOC Manager in overseeing day-to-day operations of the
Network Operations Center.  This includes directing the work of others on the team as needed, resolving complex issues, participating in hiring, training, and performance management, recommending and implementing process improvements, representing the NOC in meetings and with other teams, providing technical direction and consultation, and helping to ensure 24x7 coverage for network monitoring and troubleshooting.

A Network Engineer in the
Network Operations Center is expected to have expertise in contemporary network technologies and protocols including Ethernet, TCP/IP, DNS, SNMP, and VOIP, as well as in state-of-the-art trouble ticket applications, wide-area network monitoring systems, and troubleshooting techniques and tools.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience, in communication engineering, computer science, or related field. 
Five years of experience in network engineering or operations in a complex computing and networking environment.

 ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
In-depth experience troubleshooting network problems and working with a variety of network equipment.
Demonstrated experience supervising or leading a team of technical staff.
Expertise in contemporary networking technology including knowledge of Ethernet, TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP3, IPv6, SNMP, DNS, multicast, VOIP.
